Professional copper distillation machine with columns and boiler.

   Copper distilling machines are composed of a copper boiler and one or more distillation columns, a rectification column and an optimised coil.

   These machines have industrial production capacity and can vary in size and composition. A higher, more efficient and lower cost production is achieved than with stills. We are talking about industrial plants of smaller or larger size depending on their composition.
   This machine allows for all types of distillation, eau-de-vie, gin, whisky, rum, fruit etc.
Accessories can be added to the distillation column, such as baskets for botanicals.
This form of distillation avoids the product to be distilled coming into contact with the fire, making it very suitable for the distillation of high quality and delicate products such as fruits, replacing the bain-marie in quality and allowing higher production levels.

How it works:

The element to be distilled is deposited in the distillation column(s). This element can be solid (e.g. grapes) or liquid.
Steam is produced in the boiler at low pressure. This steam enters the distillation column at the bottom.
As the hot steam comes into contact with the element to be distilled, it heats it so that the alcohol evaporates (remember the different boiling points of alcohol and water). The evaporated alcohol passes into the rectification column or a large rectification lentil. Here the vapour passes through various plates and is rectified. Finally, there is the tube cooler where the liquor is condensed.
